May 10th - Beckett's Farm meet

Genuine K3 ...

... with the added attraction of a Spitfire mascot.

Purporting to be a Lagonda, but with seemingly coil-over telescopic damper front suspension and hydraulic brakes. Other than a bit of odd panel-work round the bottom of the radiator where the amber flashers were (OK, I know people do add those for safety, but it was the panel they were attached to that didn't look right) it looked genuine enough to an untutored eye, but couldn't see the engine. The coil springs were pretty thin, so either it is a very light-weight engine or perhaps they are only 'helpers' to torsion-bars elsewhere - this site reports that and hydraulic brakes by 1938.

The red Healey 3000 has a Midget/Lenham-like fast-back hard-top.

Sebring replica. Again couldn't see the engine but the rest looked realistic enough. Not sure about the Paddy Hopkirk and John Hedges names on the sides, and it has a hill-climb timing bar on the front.

Immaculate Mk2 3.4 Jag 'get-away' car. It's almost surreal to see cars like this, the Sebring MGB and the Lagonda just tucked away round the sides of the building rather than formally displayed in rows.
