16th-18th September - Devon Coastal Path

After a drizzly early evening the skies start to clear leaving cloud over the heights of Ilfracombe with a beautiful sunset, very atmospheric:

Capstone Hill with a memorial to a young Russian girl - Ekaterine (Kate) Frolov - who lost her way in fog on Hillsborough (in the background) and fell to her death in 2000 aged 14, commissioned by her family and dedicated to her memory:
