July 1997 - The Lot valley in France

About to board the Hovercraft after torrential rain on the journey down

Part of the vineyards at Chateau Latuc

'Bee' drying out at the gite

St Cirque Le Popie - said to be France's prettiest village. And only the second place we have had to pay parking fee in about ten years of touring in France.

Typical gorge in the Lot

The Lot at the town of Fumel. Driving around the area, even on the main road along the river if you were in a line of three cars that counted as 'busy'. On the side roads you could drive for miles and never see another soul.

Typical Lot village - no meters, yellow lines wardens ...

The Hovercraft for our journey home - a bit drier than when we arrived
