With the driver's seat fully down and the passenger's fully up compare the position of the seat bolsters relative to the centre console. Operating the lever the lowest position the rear starts to rise i.e. the seat angle starts to flatten, but the more you go the more the front starts to rise, and approaching 10 clicks (out of 26) it becomes significant:
