October 2003, National Birds of Prey Centre, Newent, Gloucestershire

The birds were obviously used to humans, several came to the cage front as we approached

The Secretary Bird (presumably because of its long black eyelashes!), one we haven't seen anywhere else

One of the larger raptors, an eagle, in the flying display

Another curious resident, but damn that parallax, this was taken on a cheap digital instead of my usual SLR

The owner, Jemima Parry-Jones, with a Fish Eagle
