Possibly incubating eggs

How cute can you get?

Hope he remembers to turn his head the right way when he wakes up. Owls can turn their heads about 260 degrees (compared to our 90 degrees or so) as they have double the number of vertebrae in their necks. Some of this is because unlike us they cannot swivel their eyes in their heads, either from side to side or up and down.

Until recently I hadn't realised just how many stupid Mothers there have been trying to buy Snowy Owls as pets for their children following the publication of the Harry Potter books. It's bad enough that the breeding and sale of birds of prey and owls is uncontrolled, and unscrupulous breeders will sell to anyone with the money.

Wouldn't co-operate and look at us, but gave us a good show of his wings.
