T1 type terminals:
Positive post measures 0.756" at the base
Negative post measures 0.690" at the base
Post positioning for 12v batteries: (Battery Masters p15 and p16)
Type 1 is the original layout in RB cars with the posts adjacent to the tunnel, type is 0 non-standard meaning either a longer +ve cable will be needed or the battery has to be turned round to put the posts towards the outside of the car and not the tunnel - which may in itself need a longer cable. Note that connecting a battery the wrong way round will destroy the alternator.
